Scalies are a vaguely defined subset of the furry community consisting of characters based off of reptiles like lizards, snakes & dragons<ref>Despite their mammalian nature, it is also common to see sharks grouped in with the greater body of scalie species.</ref>. Although never quite spraying too far from the main furry community to ever be decisively defined as their own community, it's not uncommon to see scalies distinguish themselves from the greater body of the furry fandom.
